How much will it cost?
Prices are based on the official rate as fixed by Madrid City Hall, the details of how this is calculated can be seen in the Official Rates section below.
However, since you are probably wondering how much it is going to cost, you can get an idea using this estimator. This will give you an approximate price but please beware that the true price you will pay is based on the information in the Official rates section!

Amount to pay
The amount to pay is the amount displayed on the taxi meter (based on a fixed starting charge and / or distance and/or duration of the journey) plus the corresponding supplements.
Basic Tariffs
Fixed starting charge
- 1,95 €. Between 06:00 and 22:00 from Monday to Sunday
- 2,15 €. Between 22:00 Monday to Friday and 06:00 the following day
- 2,95 €. Between 22:00 Saturdays and Holidays and 06:00 the following day
Tariff
A price per kilometer and a price per hour is applied alternately depending on the speed of traffic.

Price per hour

The price per hour is applied when the traffic speed is less than the following values:
- Tariff 1: 18,42 km/h
- Tariff 2: 15,99 km/h
- Tariff 3: 15,41 km/h
Supplements
- 5,25 €: Journeys with origin or destination in Barajas Airport
- 2,75 €: Journeys with origin in coach or train stations or in access areas with a dedicated zone reserved for taxis
- 2,75 €: Journeys with origin or destination in the exhibition area Parque Ferial Juan Carlos I (IFEMA)
- 6,50 €: Journeys on Christmas or New Years Eve that finish between 22:00 and 06:00 the following day
* Not more than one of the previous supplements may be applied for a single journey, independent of the route undertaken.
Total amount for service
The total amount displayed on the taxi meter plus the correspnding supplements.
* All tolls for toll roads and entry into controlled areas must be paid by the customer in addition to the aforementioned tariffs as long as the customer has requested that such a route should be taken.
Journeys outside of the Área de Prestación Conjunta (authorised limits for Madrid taxis)
The same tariff will be applied for journeys from the limits of the Área de Prestación Conjunta (APC) until the final destination as the Zone B tariff. This price includes the return of the vehicle from the final destination until the APC limit. .
Free of Charge and Mandatory
Guide Dogs and, in an homologated housing, any other domestic animal.
Baggage, as long as the trunk and/or roofrack of the vehicle has sufficient capacity.
Receipt containing NIF, amount, date, license number, licence plate.
